Thank You for Voting!

The American Pastors Network would like to thank every recipient of this weekly eNews who voted in the 2016 presidential election. Every vote truly counted, so we appreciate your time to consider which candidate would best represent biblical and constitutional principles. Please continue to pray for our nation’s present and future so that every American can recognize God’s love and Christian values.

APN: Renewing Our Nation Will Begin on Our Knees
in Prayer and With a Commitment From Pastors

Christian voters were a much sought-after voting bloc in this historic election, as Americans elected Donald Trump as the nation’s 45th president last week. Sam Rohrer, president of the American Pastors Network (APN,, had this to say after the results came in.

“When the polls are so off and the pundits get it so wrong and we can see no other explanation for a Donald Trump victory, we can rest assured that it is God who worked a miracle. We knew and prayed that at the end of the day, a win—should God provide one—would be humanly impossible and all would have to thank God for His doing.

“The vote of the American people was an overwhelming call for change, a rejection of corruption and pushback against the enemies of Christianity and freedom, such as Islam, globalism and the establishment,” Rohrer continued. “The process for renewal of our nation, however, must be led on our knees in prayer, as we humble ourselves before God and seek His blessing. It also involves a commitment by the pastors in the pulpits of America to once again preach the whole counsel of God and reteach our people that the biblical principles that made America great are the same principles that can restore and heal our nation—one nation under God.”

APN Helps Pastors Stand for
Truth at the Pulpit through
‘We Will Stand’ Initiative
Pastors who sign the “We Will Stand—Preach, Pray, Encourage, Engage” pledge will commit to preach passionately the whole counsel of God, pray fervently, encourage their congregations to be the salt and light in society, and engage as a “minister together” with other civic leaders.

Pastors have so much on their plates—leading their congregations, doing what’s best for their churches and guiding their families as well. This is all on top of the difficult task of navigating an extremely complex culture and applying the word of God to all of it.

But the American Pastors Network is seeking to simplify some of that scope with a new initiative called “We Will Stand” that will help pastors keep their eyes on what is most important—truth.

Stand in the Gap Minute:
The Fruit of Thanksgiving

When you think of Thanksgiving, you probably think of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes – not fruit. But Scripture tell us that giving thanks to God produces “fruit” in our lives – peace. We can continually abide in God’s perfect peace as we give Him thanks, despite what is going on around us.

Please listen to and share this week’s Stand in the Gap Minute program as Sam reminds us that he who gives thanks to God will abide in the peace of God.

For a 60-second investment of your time, and a 5-second Facebook post or Tweet, you will help your friends consider this vital question: Is the peace of God evident in your life?
