From the Lehigh Valley Project 9/12 Tea Party–Second Amendment Committee

Editorial:  Your driver’s license is recognized in all states.  Your marriage license is recognized in all states. Your firearms license . . . not so much!

It is your God-given/natural right to bear arms in self-defense. The Supreme Court has ruled (incorrectly in my view) that government has the right to regulate, and so, many states have.

US House bill HR38 would use the power of the Federal government to enforce the intent of the 2nd Amendment “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”  It would require that any state that allows carry, or at least has a process for applying, must recognize license holders from any other state, without limitation.  We are very much in favor of this bill and will be calling upon you in the near future to help us support it.

It all starts with a kick-off meeting in Allentown on February 2nd at 7 PM at the Starlite Ballroom (Fearless Fire Co Social Hall) Where Larry Pratt the Executive Director of Gun Owners of America will speak. We will also have special guests: Shaneen Allen; Joshua Prince; Charles Strange; and NRA Director William Bachenberg.

Come on out…
