Pennsylvania Liberty Alliance–Call to Action

Pennsylvania Liberty Alliance

Dear Friends,

The opponents of the people of Pennsylvania are running a full-court press to defeat HB-76.

News outlets are on offense spreading lies through articles and editorials to try to turn the tide against making history in 2017.

From the Lehigh Valley to Scranton to Harrisburg, news outlets are attacking school property tax elimination using any distortions, lies, or omissions that they can.

And it’s not just the mainstream media.

It’s the Pennsylvania School Board Association activating their own supporters to defeat HB-76 too.

One by one the Educrats are standing up to oppose HB-76 complaining that they will lose “control” over funding.

Anyone who has paid any attention in Pennsylvania over the years knows that government bureaucrats running local school systems have no regard for the taxpayers or for working families struggling under the weight of ever increasing property taxes.

Make no mistake about it, any threat to the Education Establishment’s stranglehold on PA tax money is going to be opposed by bureaucrats with full force.

And the Property Tax Independence Act is much more than a threat, it’s a promise.

A promise that there will be accountability in how education is funded in this state and that taxpayers will no longer be continuously gauged by zealous school districts eager to hoard up our tax dollars whenever they can.

Lt. Governor Stack isn’t helping either.

He already cast the deciding “no” vote in the Senate last year, and now he’s writing opinion pieces full of misinformation and distortions in an attempt to keep the bill from coming up for another vote this year.

But thanks to the relentless efforts of this grassroots movement, Governor Tom Wolf has moved from supporting a reduction scheme to claiming he now supports full school property tax elimination.

He has not yet committed to supporting SB 76 as written, but we are working tirelessly to ensure that he will sign this legislation when it lands on his desk.

Your help is needed now more than ever.

This moment is the closest we’ve ever come to passing.

Many of you will remember that last year we only lost by 1 vote.

Already, your generous support for Pennsylvania Liberty Alliance has helped up reach out to:

75,000 people in our state!

This is great, but we need to reach out to a bunch more taxpayers if we’re going to be successful in making HB-76 law.
