BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

OF THE EAST PENN SCHOOL DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the East Penn School District do hereby agree to give notice to the Governor of Pennsylvania, Attorney General, Auditor General, State Treasurer, and All House and Senate Legislative Members demanding the Governor appoint an independent (outside) forensic auditor to audit the Pennsylvania State Employees Retirement System (PSERS) Pension Fund.

WHEREAS, such independent investigation would determine whether there has been prudent fiscal management of the fund to ensure our teachers and staff, that the East Penn School District is determined to protect their retirement investment ensuring future payout as contracted.

WHEREAS, the investigation will confirm for the taxpayers, why the unfunded liability has sky rocketed to over $50 Billion and continues to grow.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the East Penn School District and its board of directors strongly urge the immediate action on an external investigation to determine whether any mismanagement or improper activity has occurred while managing the fund.
