Welcome to Ryan’s Report, my weekly e-newsletter. This week we celebrated our nation’s independence on the Fourth of July, and I hope you had a safe and enjoyable celebration with your friends and family.

I was honored to have the opportunity to speak at the Revolutionary Soldiers Cemetery in East Vincent Township about patriotism, civic duty, and the importance of civility. I also provided a brief narration on Pennsylvania’s Dr. Benjamin Rush (1746 – 1813), who was a signatory of the Declaration of Independence and a member of the Second Continental Congress, as well as Mr. Everett Wilson (1924 – 2017) who was an East Vincent Township Supervisor. Each of these public servants remind us how we can help move America forward by reflecting and celebrating on those who came before us.
