Mackenzie to Host 2017 Senior Expo on Oct. 19

Register now for bingo following the expo

HARRISBURG – Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Berks) is inviting area senior citizens and their loved ones to his annual Senior Expo on Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center, 3450 Brookside Road, Macungie. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

“This is always a fun event where neighbors and friends can meet up, get some great information, have a couple of health screenings performed, and even take a chance on winning a door prize,” said Mackenzie. “I encourage seniors in the community, along with their family members and caregivers, to stop by and check it out.”

Exhibitors from local, state, and federal agencies and a variety of senior-focused organizations will be on hand to offer information about programs and services designed to meet the needs of older Pennsylvanians. In addition, flu shots will be available with a Medicare card. There will also be a number of free health screenings on-site, bingo, and door prizes. The door prize drawing will be held at 12:30 p.m.

Bingo will be held after the expo from 1-2 p.m. Space is limited. Those who wish to play bingo are asked to RSVP by calling Mackenzie’s district office at 610-965-9933 before Monday, Oct. 16.
