Your State Reps Junking Your Emails

By Arthur Herring III,

President Dektor Corporation

For almost the past three months, I have been sending emails to the personnal email addresses of the 250 state senators and represenatives of Pennsylvania. It was about a massive scam involving a extremely unreliable “voice lie detector” being sold only to law enforcement types (police, sheriff, district attorneys, college police prisons, probation, etc) in Pennsylvania and nationwide since 1990. As of 2007, about 50 police departments and 6 district attorney offices, just in Pennsylvania, have the device called cvsa. The seller, in Florida, uses former high level police to be his “sales staff”. The seller of this so-called “voice lie detector” only sells to law enforcement because he knows the devices will be used it in criminal investigations. Each device is about $12,000, training is $1,400 per person, plus “recertification fees” for life. Remember, you the taxpayer are paying for this scam or have been falsely accused by the gadget. The seller knows even when those buyers realize their gadget is not reliable, they still will not demand their money back because the buyers know they will be sued for falsely accusing a person and causing severe harm to them.

In November 2017, I sent a very detailed email about this scam to all 250 state senators and representatives. No replies from them. I sent it again in December 2017. No replies from any of them. I used their personal email addresses and none of them came back as undeliverable. I also had each one sent back to me to prove I sent them. In January 2018, I sent the emails to 25 represenatives again using the long email forms on their websites. I got a generic, automated reply from each of those email forms thanking me for my email, but no calls or email reply.

About January 23, I was talking to the chief of staff of a representative that I never got any reply. She found out that the IT company handling the computers, for the House and Senate, had set the security level so restrictive that all emails from outsiders were being sent to the “Junk” boxes, instead to their “Inboxes”. How long this has been going on is anybody’s guess. The other unexplained mystery is when I asked her for their contact information so I could talk to them, she said no. I asked her why and she said it was confidential.

We, the hard working taxpayers, have the RIGHT to know where our money is being wasted. We are paying for so-called computer experts (remember the Pelosi Pakastani IT scandal?) who never tested their own system to be sure emails will get through. I wonder what person (elected?) got kickbacks for choosing those grossly, incompetent people. Didn’t our elected politicians ever think something was wrong when they did not get emails from their constituents?

Time will tell if this email problem ever gets fixed and if the IT business repays our money for their incompetence/stupidity.
