Week of March 12, 2018

PA Senate March Session Schedule

The PA Senate will be returning to Session after several weeks of Appropriations Committee budget hearings.  The Senate reconvenes at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 19, and will also be in Session March 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28.  Live feed of Session, as well as the schedule of upcoming committee meetings, recent roll call votes, calendars, etc., can be found here.

DCED Case Study: Lebanon Valley Cold Storage and Distribution Center

Veterans’ Expo & Job Fair Returning to York in April

Area veterans of all ages, active military and their families are invited to attend the Veterans’ Expo & Job Fair, a free, one-day event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, April 9 at the Wyndham Hotel York, 2000 Loucks Road.  Exhibiters represented will include community service providers, healthcare professionals, VA benefits counselors, education/training providers, and business startup assistance, as well as businesses covering home improvement, legal services and finance, retirement living and insurance.  Sponsors include 50plus LIFE, Disabled American Veterans, PA American Legion, PA National Guard Outreach Office, PA State Headquarters VFW and Vibra Health Plan.  For more information, call (717) 285-1350 or visit

Constituent Highlight: Londonderry Township Receives Second Place in PSATS Contest

Per a recent PA State Association of Township Supervisors’ (PSATS) news release, Londonderry Township’s efforts to keep residents updated about the community have earned them an award in the PSATS 50thAnnual Township Citizen Communication Contest!  Londonderry Townshipreceived Second Place in the Class 2 Newsletters category (for townships with populations of 5,001 to 10,000).  Entries were judged on the usefulness of information and how well it was communicated to residents.
