Dear LVC Editor,
What happened to the Supremacy Clause? How can a state pass laws that VIOLATE the U.S. Constitution as well as Federal law. It is stated in Article six of the U.S. Constitution, that includes the Supremacy Clause, any laws of a state that are contrary to the U.S. Constitution or Federal law are “notwithstanding”, that means INVALID. If there is an alternate definition of the word “notwithstanding” then the Supremacy Clause is superfluous. The U.S. Congress must clarify this ONCE and FOR ALL!
