Dean Browning announces his intent to run for Congress in 2020.

Far-left liberal Susan Wild’s victory in the PA-7th Congressional District last year means we are now represented by someone who is bent on obstructing President Trump’s agenda and forcing gridlock in Washington, D.C.  If we want President Trump to succeed, then we need to make sure that he is re-elected in 2020 and we also need to make sure that this is Rep. Susan Wild’s first and last term in Congress.  It was clear to me and many of you while she was running last year, that Susan Wild was not going to be a good fit for our congressional district.  Now that the election is over, we are starting to see proof of that in her words and votes. For example, in a recent interview Susan Wild said she had the following as her top priorities:

  • Banning assault weapons and further infringing upon the 2nd Amendment
  • Legalizing recreational marijuana despite the addiction crisis gripping our country
  • Adding sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of classes protected by the 1965 Civil Rights Act

Worse, since being sworn into office, Susan Wild has already:

  • Voted to elect Nancy Pelosi as Speaker
  • Voted against funding for the border wall
  • Voted against removing the additional tax on medical devices. A tax that makes health care more expensive and penalizes one of the area’s premier employers – B. Braun

In short, our new Congresswoman is wildly out-of-touch with our values and her ideas are wrong for our country and our congressional district. That is why I announced my intention to run against her in 2020 and have already started a campaign that will focus on sharp, issued-based contrasts with the incumbent as well as unflinching support of a platform that includes:

  • Building a wall along our southern border as part of a comprehensive plan to stop illegal immigration and reduce the flow of drugs and criminals into our country.
  • Following Ronald Reagan’s approach of peace through strength by rebuilding and re-equipping our military to meet the emerging challenges of the future.
  • Making healthcare more affordable and putting families and seniors in control of their healthcare decisions, not the government.
  • Growing our economy to create more jobs and prosperity for every single American willing to work hard and play by the rules.
  • Fixing the fiscal mess in Washington by getting spending under control.
  • Defending the 2nd Amendment and protecting the unborn.

While others may waver, I will stand firm in my support of President Trump’s pro-growth, pro-national security agenda that puts America first. The future of our country is at stake in 2020, and I plan to be on the front lines of that fight as the Republican nominee for Congress in the PA-7th Congressional District.  I would be honored to earn your support and your vote.

Thank you and God Bless you and God Bless the United States of America.

Dean N. Browning

Conservative Republican for Congress
