Our LVTP June 7, 2018 general meeting will feature Ray Tranchant. Ray’s daughter Tessa,16, was killed on March 30, 2007 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Tessa and her friend, Ali Kunhardt, were sitting at a stoplight when Alfredo Ramos, an illegal alien from Mexico who was intoxicated and speeding, rear-ended their car. Ramos had a history of prior convictions, but due to Virginia Beach’s sanctuary policies, he was never detained. He was charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 40 years in prison. See the short video of Tessa’s story: https://youtu.be/y-VSV8CbsvI.

CEPTA to hold 134th PA Legislative Candidate’s Debate

The Concerned East Penn Taxpayer’s Association will be holding a debate between the candidates for the State 134th legislative House of Representatives seat.

State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie Commissioner Ron Beitler

Incumbent Ryan Mackenzie and challenger Ronald Beitler are scheduled to appear. Both men are seeking the Republican Party nomination in the May Primary Election.

As stated Mr. Mackenzie is the current incumbent for the 134th District. Mr. Beitler is currently a Commissioner for Lower Macungie Township.

CEPTA believes that the voters deserve to hear the candidates positions on the issues facing Pennsylvania before election day.

When: Tuesday, April 17th at 7:30 pm

Where: Emmaus Fire Company Hall at Sixth and Broad Streets, Emmaus, PA

Second Amendment Day Rally in Harrisburg, Monday April 30th

This year is the 13th Annual 2nd Amendment Day in Harrisburg.

If you have never attended, know that this is the premier 2A event in Pennsylvania. It is hosted by Rep. Daryl Metcalfe and includes some of the best 2A presenters in the industry. (speaker line up to be announced).

We rally in the Capitol building in the morning, then grab some lunch, then visit various lawmakers to make sure they know that we want them to protect our rights.

Re Eagle article March 16, 2018

As the moderator of the past two meetings of the Berks County Patriots with gubernatorial candidates Scott Wagner and Paulk Mango, the most contentious issue that prompted the lead headline for the article was who is the strongest prolife candidate? With all due respect that Senator Wagner is obligated to defend the legislation he supported, Mango has no track record to defend. What is clear is that both candidates are implying by their ads that neither is forthright in their position.

My point is, while prolife may reflect the character of a candidate, this dwarfs the issues facing the state. In fact, if the legislature does not submit a bill for the governor’s signature, it

CEPTA to hold PA 131st Legislative District Candidate Debate

CEPTA, the Concerned East Penn Taxpayers Association, will be holding a debate between the candidates running for the Pennsylvania 131st legislative district House of Representatives seat.

Those candidates are; Incumbent Justin Simmons, Colonel Bev Plosa-Bowswer – United States Air Force- retired, and Mayor Vicki Lightcap – the current Mayor of Pennsburg.

The debate will be held on March 20th, beginning at 7:30pm. It will be held at the Emmaus Fire Hall at Sixth and Broad Streets, Emmaus, PA.

Mark your calendars and come out and hear what the candidates have to say!
