Hello

Forty-three years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court, in a blatant case of legislation from the bench, decided that our Constitution granted us the right to abort our babies.

They imposed a one-size-fits-all ruling upon all of our separate states. To date, this has resulted in the deaths of 60,000,000 innocent babies. Their voices are forever stilled.

At the Wednesday, August 10th meeting of the Pennsylvania Liberty Alliance, three speakers will share their perceptions of this subject with us: our own Ed Bender, a lifelong pro-life activist; Helen McMinn, an anti-abortion firebrand renowned throughout Berks County; a brave lady from Lebanon will share testimony about her manipulation by abortion clinic employees.

Hear what’s planned to pass the Property Tax Independence Act 76.

Hello

21 folks from the PTCC and 5 PCTA groups rocked Hershey, Saturday! Not only did we distribute 1,800 flyers and tri-folds to educate the good folks of the 15th Senate district, we collected almost 200 petition signatures!

Senator Rob Teplitz, we talked to hundreds more and your constituents are NOT happy with you…I’m sure you’ll be hearing from them soon!

Folks couldn’t believe that Rob’s NO vote on November 23rd was the reason the bill failed. They are NOT happy.

This effort is just the beginning. Join us Saturday July 30th as we finish canvassing the Herhsey/Hummelstown areas.

The more the merrier and we sure did have a great time!

Numerous “new” folks to canvassing came out and

Hello,

The “Blame Game” over property taxes continues.

On Monday May 16th I went to Harrisburg to join a group called Indiana County against Unfair Assessments as they traveled over three hours to voice their concerns about property taxes.

Their recent court-ordered countywide reassessment has caused them many hardships and problems, and they are looking for solutions. Unfortunately for all of us, the property tax system cannot be “fixed”. Many legislators say that frequent countywide reassessments are the answer. I’m sure these folks from Indiana County disagree.

Neither I nor PLA had anything to do with arranging this event. They did invite people from all areas to join them, but I went simply to observe. The day seemed to be planned out for

Potential Budget Agreement Looks Like a Shell Game and Tax Hike

Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania

According to media accounts, there is some movement on the state budget, and it sounds like a bad deal for taxpayers: “Under the preliminary deal, state spending would rise to $30.7 billion, up about 6 percent from last year’s approved budget. It would be boosted by about $500 million in slot-machine gambling revenue that is currently passed along to homeowners as school property tax cuts. That money would be diverted into a restricted account to pay for public school employee pension obligations. Read More

PA Liberty Alliance–Effective at fighting for the Taxpayer and Property Tax Elimination

Share

The PA Liberty Alliance has been one of the more effective leaders in the fight to see PA School Property Taxes eliminated through SB/HB 76. The problem has been opposition to the bill from unions who make donations to our elected officials. But the PA Liberty Alliance has found ways to turn some of those politicians around. The Alliance is composed of people from a number of Taxpayer, Tea Party/Patriot groups. They lobby the politicians for passage of 76. When they find an elected official not on board, they rally the forces and visit the politician’s district to educate the people on the benefits of 76, circulate petitions in support of 76 and finally set up a town hall meeting for the people to

…BECAUSE NO TAX SHOULD HAVE THE POWER TO LEAVE YOU HOMELESS!

From the PA Liberty Alliance

Hats off to Casey Bralla and the Coalition Advancing Freedom! They lead the charge for this campaign in Pottstown, western Montgomery and northern Chester Counties. Of course they had some help from the PA Liberty Alliance, CLASTA, Berks County Patriots, Citizens for Liberty, Valley Forge Patriots, Berks Tea Party and the Tri-county Campaign for Liberty who pounded the pavements for 3 Saturdays in and around Pottstown, donated time and money.

Many thanks to Sen Mensch and Rafferty for sending representation to the meeting to echo their support for 76. But the MOST surprising occurrence was the apparent turn about of Rep Hennessey! He has reservations and
