IG REPORT: COMEY CLAIMED DOJ PROSECUTORS WERE INTIMIDATED BY ‘HIGH-POWERED’ CLINTON LAWYERS

Share

Kerry Picket | Reporter The Daily Caller

Former FBI Director James Comey and other bureau employees told investigators they thought Department of Justice prosecutors were intimidated by Hillary Clinton’s “high-powered” legal team.

Comey and others interviewed by the DOJ inspector general thought the prosecutors’ wariness resulted in unusual restrictions on the bureau’s investigation of her private email server.

“Comey, Baker, and other FBI witnesses told us that they believed the prosecutors were overly cautious about obtaining the laptops because they were intimidated by high-powered defense counsel like [Beth] Wilkinson,” the IG reported.

The report also describes other FBI witnesses who made the same claim — including agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, whose text messages in the report

This Supreme Court Case Could Change Online Shopping Overnight

Share

By Jonathon Hauenschild @fee.org

Online commerce as we know it could soon radically change.

In a case it recently heard, the Supreme Court could eliminate the current requirement that a business have some physical connection with a state before the state can tax the business. If that were to happen, consumers would pay more for goods ordered online, small businesses and entrepreneurs offering services and products online would disappear, and people would have fewer options from which to purchase items.

The Case of the Commerce Clause

The Framers of the Constitution included the Commerce Clause, which gave Congress alone the authority to regulate commerce between the states and to solve interstate trade wars that arose during the Articles of Confederation.

BOMBSHELL: DOJ Report On Clinton Emails Reveals Comey Did Worse Than Clear Hillary, He Committed The Same CRIMES!

Share

The much-anticipated report from the Department of Justice Office of Inspector General about the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation was publicly released on Thursday.

The report — which was begun based on demands from congressional Democrats — delved into the details of the lengthy investigation into Clinton’s use of a private and unsecured email server to conduct official — and classified — government business while serving as secretary of state.

Fired FBI Director James Comey ultimately cleared Clinton of any wrongdoing in the “matter,” but, rather ironically, the IG report has revealed that Comey himself utilized a private email account to conduct official FBI business at

Gowdy said he is “alarmed, angered, and deeply disappointed” by Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s findings, which were released in a report to Congress Thursday, and he told Attorney Gen. Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Christopher Wray to take “decisive action restore Americans’

Senior FBI agent threatened to prevent Trump election in text message; agents took gifts from reporters

The FBI mishandled the politically charged investigation of classified information found on Hillary Clinton’s private email server, and Bureau agents engaged in improper behavior including a text message threat to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president, according to a Justice Department inspector general probe.

A report by Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz, however, appeared to let the FBI off the hook for allowing political biases and concerns about protecting the FBI’s reputation influence its investigation of classified data found on the
