Face the facts: abortion is murder

Share

By Judie Brown at Renew America

With all the falsehoods and lies tossed around about abortion, we must remember to be the light and to help spread the truth to those around us.

It is always good to begin the New Year with a modicum of sober honesty, and recent events lead me to believe that this cannot occur a moment too soon.

We need only look to the “stars” to understand why we must be stronger than ever in our efforts to build a culture of life amidst the ruins created by those who support the denial of truth.

Lee, Rubio, Cruz right about repealing Obamacare

Share

By Robert Romano at NetRight Daily and Americans for Limited Government

In a letter to Senate Republican leaders, Sens. Mike Lee (R-Utah), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) asked that H.R. 3762, which President Barack Obama vetoed in 2016, should be the bare minimum of what the Republican majorities of the House and Senate consider in 2017. That’s not asking too much.

H.R. 3762 got rid of Medicaid expansion, premium subsidies, cost-sharing subsidies, the individual and employer mandates, reinsurance, risk corridors and risk-adjustment, and the many taxes and spending from the health care law.

Dear President-elect Trump, bring back welfare reform

Share

By Natalia Castro at NetRight Daily and Americans for Limited Government

In 1996, President Clinton did something right in the field of welfare reform. With bipartisan support, changes made government assistance a true transition into the working world and required able bodied adults applying for welfare to prove they were actively job seeking. In 2012, President Obama removed this mandate, and now our labor force is suffering.

Clinton’s welfare reform law placed restrictions on long term welfare recipients in order to transition the program to one which reduces dependency. Not only did these reforms require individual families to seek employment to receive benefits but as The Atlantic of Aug. 2012 explains, “states have to show that 50 percent of welfare-receiving families

Rescinding EPA electricity rules key to making America competitive again

Share

By Natalia Castro at NetRight Daily and Americans for Limited Government

The EPA has helped to strangle U.S. economic growth for the last eight years with its 2009 carbon endangerment finding and subsequent rules against new and existing coal power plants, dubbed the Clean Power Plan. But regulatory policy has not just represented significant government overreach, it has also undermined U.S. competitiveness globally.

Now, with the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump on Jan. 20, the U.S. could be poised to reclaim its mantle as the world’s foremost economic power — by stopping further job-killing regulations from being implemented and rescinding the Obama regulations either under the terms of the Administrative Procedures Act, a process that can take a couple of years, or

Following the presidential election, numerous stories surfaced about how “fake news” influenced the results. This prompted a reaction from the media and a concerted effort by the social media giant Facebook to crack down on the phenomenon—announcing that it would in part by using liberal fact-checkers to distinguish the “real” from the “fake”

In less than three weeks’ time, when Donald Trump becomes our next president, he will take an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

It is fitting, then, that Trump has committed to repealing and replacing one of his predecessor’s most infamous unconstitutional policies, the Affordable

Not What You Expected!

During the holidays, Chicago, which is criminally controlled by both street thugs and politicians in suits who infringe upon the God-given right of their citizenry to keep and bear arms, saw the number of shooting victims rise over 4,300 for 2016.

According to the Chicago Tribune at the writing of this article, Chicago has seen 4,328 shooting victims in 2016, compared to 2,989 shooting victims in 2015. That’s an increase of over 1,300!
