Protesters occupying a federal wildlife refuge were tipped off to hidden cameras being installed to spy on them this week.

While the group has been embedded for weeks, the FBI has taken a “stand back” approach . . . at least in the eyes of the media.

Last week, the FBI was caught red-handed posing as protesters while harassing locals.

A Paradoxical Question

Share

By CL Bryant From Freedom Works

America is in a paradoxical situation regarding personal and private intrusion by national and local government agencies. While it is true most citizens want police to respond promptly to distress calls, few are aware that there are instruments of surveillance that do indeed threaten civil liberties.

Lawsuit Challenges Obama’s Executive Actions to Restrict Gun Sales

Share

By Natalie Johnson / at The Daily Signal

A conservative lawyer and activist has filed the first federal court challenge to President Barack Obama’s executive actions to restrict firearm ownership, arguing that the president’s moves violate the Constitution.

Larry Klayman, a former U.S. Justice Department lawyer who heads the conservative advocacy group Freedom Watch, filed the lawsuit Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

In the suit, Klayman contends that Obama overstepped his executive authority by attempting to rewrite laws enacted by Congress without going through the lawmakers.

Former U.S. Attorneys Predict Criminal Charges in FBI’s Probe of Clinton Server

‘What the Clinton people did was a clear violation of federal criminal law’

AP

Two former U.S. attorneys said the FBI will likely reach a determination in the next few months in its investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email server, and based on publicly available evidence said the bureau could have a strong criminal case.

“I expect the FBI to conclude the investigation within 60 to 90 days and make a recommendation to the Justice Department, and I believe they will recommend a series of charges involving the classified information,” said Joseph DiGenova, who was U.S. Attorney for the

The “new” Constitution: Traps for the right?

Share

By Wes Vernon at Renew America, Provo, Utah

There are several separate efforts under way to make changes in the Constitution of the United States. Two in particular are of immediate concern:

1 – The thundering silence by the media over the well-funded leftist effort to call a constitutional convention “by 2020” is in itself scary enough. Its potential for upholding basic American freedoms is not good. That would be by design of the leadership of this freedom-averse organization, controlled by a leftist elite, and funded by billionaire George Soros. If the U.S. goes down at the hands of this crowd, It would be no accident.

The “plot” thickens

2 – However, at the same time, there is

‘King’ Obama’s illegal action on guns

Share

By Larry Klayman at Renew America, Provo, Utah

So Barack Hussein Obama broke the law again. On Jan. 4, Obama rewrote the nation’s laws on gun sales and purchases and background checks for firearms purchasers. Obama issued executive actions directed to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) to change how ATF interprets existing laws. Since ATF enforces those laws, the new interpretation will be treated as being the new, actual law.

Obama taught constitutional law as an instructor (not a professor). What we don’t know is which nation’s constitution Obama was actually teaching at the University of Chicago law school. It does not appear that it was the United States Constitution he has ever read. Perhaps

Muslim community sued police over surveillance programs

AP

BY: at the Washington Free Beacon

The New York Police Department has been directed by a U.S. court to remove from its online records an investigation pertaining to the rise of Islamic extremists in the West and the threats these individuals pose to American safety, according to legal documents.

As part of a settlement agreement reached earlier this month with Muslim community advocates in U.S. District Court, the NYPD will purge from its website an extensive report that experts say has been critical to the department’s understanding of radical Islam and its efforts to police

Congress at fault for early release felon committing Columbus, Ohio triple murder

Share

By Rick Manning at NetRight Daily and Americans for Limited Government

The brutal Columbus, Ohio murder of Erveena Hammonds and her 7 and 10 year-old daughters, whose throats were slit by an early-released felon, is exhibit A of why Congress should reject legislation designed to let thousands more convicted drug criminals out of federal prison prematurely.

If Congress had not enacted the so-called 2010 Fair Sentencing Act, Wendell Callahan would still be in jail and Erveena Hammonds and her two daughters, Breya and Anaesia, would still be alive.

The tragedy of a felon who got almost four years knocked off his sentence re-entering the life of his former girlfriend and violently ending it
