Bipartisan Report Confirms IRS Mistreatment of Conservative Groups

Share

by Hans von Spakovsky at the Daily Signal

Hans von Spakovsky is an authority on a wide range of issues—including civil rights, civil justice, the First Amendment, immigration, the rule of law and government reform—as a senior legal fellow in The Heritage Foundation’s Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies and manager of the think tank’s Election Law Reform Initiative. Read his research.

The U.S. Senate Committee on Finance has released an extensive bipartisan report on the IRS targeting scandal that makes it clear, according to Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, “that the agency mistreated conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status.”

In fact, “political biases and poor management went hand in hand to

Uprising Against HPV Vaccine Mandate Sweeps Rhode Island

Share

The Gardasil vaccine in question has three times more reported adverse reactions than all other vaccines combined. Numerous deaths and permanent disabilities have been reported following administration of the vaccine.

by Alex Newman at the New American

Rhode Island health bureaucrats are facing an uprising among parents, lawmakers, and even some doctors after issuing a deeply controversial vaccine mandate last month. Unless it is reversed, the decree purports to require that all 7th grade students, generally about 11-years old, be vaccinated against a sexually transmitted disease (STD) prior to starting school in September. Despite making headlines nationwide amid growing protests and public outrage about what critics say is an attack on parental rights, state officials reportedly have no plans to back down on

North Dakota Legalizes Weaponized Drones. Is That a Good Idea?

Share

As the drone debate continues over right to airspace versus right to privacy, the North Dakota bill is the first that moves the devices from a surveillance and reconnaissance tool into a flying weapon, lethal or not.

North Dakota just legalized police drones to be outfitted with tasers, pepper spray, and other “non-lethal” weaponry.

As the drone debate continues over right to airspace versus right to privacy, the North Dakota bill is the first that moves the devices from a surveillance and reconnaissance tool into a flying weapon, lethal or not.

Privacy issues aside, drones do have many positive benefits.

Remotely piloted aircraft are machines that are particularly good at covering

How US Sugar Policies Just Helped America Lose 600 Jobs

Share

by Bryan Riley at the Heritage Foundation at Daily Signal

The manufacturer of Oreo cookies recently announced plans to move production of Oreos from Chicago to Mexico, resulting in a loss of 600 U.S. jobs.

This should be a wake-up call to defenders of the U.S. sugar program and other job-destroying trade barriers.

The leading ingredient in Oreos is sugar, and U.S. trade barriers currently require Americans to pay Continue reading…

Obama Caught Bringing In Illegal Immigrants

By law, the Obama administration is allowed to grant one million “green card” permits to foreign nationals each year. The president can also issue another 700,000 work permits to foreign “guest workers” each year – foreigners who can be legally employed in the U.S.

by Bob Conover – At Citizen Action By law, the Obama administration is allowed to grant one million “green card” permits to foreign nationals each year. The president can also issue another 700,000 work permits to foreign “guest workers” each year – foreigners who can be legally employed in the U.S.

However, when it comes to President Obama, when has the law ever mattered?

by Jason Devaney from NEWSMAX

Mexico’s former ambassador to the United States said Tuesday there are 30 million “undocumented immigrants” currently living in the United States, far more than the U.S. government’s claim of around 11 million.

“If you were to deport the 30 million undocumented immigrants in the United States, that’s going to cost you about $130 billion,” Arturo Sarukhan told MSNBC.

As Sarukhan continued to talk, a graphic flashed on the screen that said it would cost $137.5 billion to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants.

Near the end of the interview,

Homeland Security Parties While Terrorists Sneak In

Share

by Judicial Watch and Citizen Action

While it let Islamic terrorists enter the country, wasted huge sums on faulty equipment and failed miserably to remove criminal illegal aliens, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was busy blowing $20.3 million to host 1,883 conferences last year.

It’s the inconceivable tale of the colossal agency—with practically unlimited funds—created after 9/11 to prevent another terrorist attack. The agency’s various components include Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the scandal-plagued Secret Service and the famously inept Transportation Security Administration (TSA), to name a few. In 2015, DHS asked Congress for an astounding $38.2 billion to continue its “commitment to the security of our homeland and the American public,” according to DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson.

The agency must be agile

Sen. Bob Corker moans about Iran deal his bill authorized

Share

“Sen. Bob Corker: Congress should reject the bad Iran deal.”

by Robert Romano at NetRight Daily and Americans for Limited Government

That was the rather unbelievable headline of a Washington Post opinion piece by Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), where he warned fellow colleagues that “rather than end Iran’s nuclear enrichment program, over time this deal industrializes the program of the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.”

Well, no kidding.

That is precisely what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on March 3 was trying to warn members about when he addressed a joint session of Congress and said the “deal will not prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. It would all but guarantee that Iran gets those weapons, lots of them.”

So
