The clock is ticking for the return of an Obamacare tax that opponents say will hit older Americans on fixed incomes particularly hard, costing them an extra $500 per couple.

“For seniors on fixed incomes, my heavens, it’s a real problem,” @60PlusAssoc says.

Congress hasn’t taken action to delay or eliminate the tax before Jan. 1, when a moratorium on it expires.

Big fail! Atheists’ lawyers blasted in Ten Commandments fight

‘Had counsel devoted more thought to these issues, court could have addressed merits’

BOB UNRUH/WND

A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit by American Atheists Inc. over a Ten Commandments monument next to the Levy County, Florida, courthouse because the atheists’ lawyers didn’t properly prepare their case.

U.S. District Judge Mark Walker dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning it cannot be amended and refiled, because the plaintiffs lacked standing, a legal requirement to pursue a lawsuit.

“Plaintiffs brought a challenge to a religious monument that they’re unlikely to visit in the future and only visited once in the past during a purposeful visit. Plaintiffs also challenged the denial of an application that did not comply with the applicable

When Heather Wilson was picked to be secretary of the Air Force, she told the Senate: “Air Force policy must continue to ensure that all airmen are able to choose to practice their particular religion.” Now, she has a chance to prove it.

Friday, Dec. 15, marks the anniversary of the day our young nation ratified the Bill of Rights in 1791.

Given the national discussion in recent days over whether the government may compel speech from an ordinary baker, now is an especially good time to consider the very first words of our charter document: “Congress shall make no law

DEMOCRATS, DOUBLE STANDARDS, AND THEIR TED KENNEDY PROBLEM

“Do we operate under a system of equal justice under law? Or is there one system for the average citizen and another for the high and mighty?” — Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy (1973)

What do Ted Kennedy and Martha Stewart have in Common? They’re both from Massachusetts. Martha Stewart didn’t kill anyone… Ted Kennedy did. Martha Stewart went to jail… Democrat Ted Kennedy became the “Lion of the Senate.”

Then there’s the investigation of Pres. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. If there ever was a double standard of what constitutes justice, this is it. We are seeing the injustice unfold

The House on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved legislation that would cut off U.S. taxpayer aid to the de facto Palestinian government if it continues to aid terrorists.

With unanimous consent, the swift passage of the Taylor Force Act brings the United States one step closer to stripping American funding from the Palestinian Authority until it ends its “pay to slay” policy, which distributes $300 million to terrorists and their families annually. The legislation now heads to the Senate for a floor vote.
