Judicial Watch Sues DOJ for Records of Investigations into the Awan Brothers, Congressional Democrat IT Scandal

Share

From Judicial Watch

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Justice Department for all records of communications relating to the investigation into former Democratic information technology (IT) staffers Abid Awan, Imran Awan, Jamal Awan and Hina R. Alvi (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-02563)).

Imran Awan and his family were banned from the House computer network in February 2017 after the House’s top law enforcement officer wrote that Imran is “an ongoing and serious risk to the House of Representatives, possibly threatening the integrity of our information systems,” and that a server containing evidence had gone “missing.” The inspector general said

Why Supreme Court opinions are not the ‘Law of the Land,’ and how to put federal judges in their place

Share

By Publius Huldah at Renew America

Central to the silly arguments made by the “Convention of States Project” (COSP) is their claim that 200 years of Supreme Court opinions have increased the powers of the federal government (as well as legalized practices such as abortion); that all these opinions are “the Law of the Land”; and we need an Article V convention so we can get amendments to the Constitution which take away all these powers the Supreme Court gave the federal government.

But the text of Article V contradicts COSP’s claim. Article V shows that our Constitution can be amended only when three fourths of the States ratify proposed amendments. The Supreme Court has no power to amend our Constitution.

Matthew Whitaker was legally appointed acting Attorney General by President Trump

Share

By Robert Romano at the Daily Torch

The state of Maryland has asked a federal judge to block acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker from performing his duties, arguing that the law somehow prevents President Donald Trump or any president from appointing an acting Attorney General on the basis that the Vacancies Reform Act of 1998 is essentially unconstitutional.

Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution provides that “[The President] shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law…”

Democrats’ Strategy: Georgia’s Abrams’ Votes Include Duplicate, Rejected and Non-Citizen Ballots

Share

By Jim-Kouri at Conservative Base via COP Magazine “[W]hen a Republican wins an election, it is fine to question the legitimacy of the process. Democrats have been doing that since the very day Trump was elected two years ago, that is patriotic. It’s your duty. But when the Democratic Party’s power is at stake, raising any question at all about the process, is wrong. Indeed it’s nothing less than the road to dictatorship.” – Tucker Carlson, Fox News Channel host, columnist and author

Ballot numbers coming out of Fulton County, Georgia revealed that a disturbing number of the provisional ballots submitted in what’s considered to be a Democrat stronghold were rejected for being duplicates

Washington Supreme Court Upholds Charter School Law

Liberty Planet

Washington parents who have opted to work with charter schools rather than public schools will be able to continue doing so for the foreseeable future thanks to the fact that Washington’s Supreme Court has upheld the state’s charter school law.

The law, which was approved of by voters in 2012, had been challenged by teacher’s unions and activists who are furious that the state provides funding for these schools without putting the schools under direct control of public school officials.

Why We Need More Climate Change Skeptics

Share

Instead of demonizing such skeptics, we need to encourage and respect such people who work hard to identify where biases have interfered with the pursuit of truth.

By Doug Casey @fee.org

Climate scientists are not prophets. Those who believe them on faith provide no good service to the pursuit of truth.

Those who blame climate change for every storm or forest fire are silly. Equally silly are those who claim that a particularly cold day proves that climate change is a farce.

Fear of environmental calamity has caused human destruction before, such as when Rachel Carson’s book, Silent Spring, led to the banning of the pesticide DDT. As a result of the “success” of the environmentalist movement in banning DDT, an estimated 30-50

A religion that asks us to kill for God-is no religion at all

By Michael Bresciani at Renew America

As a very young man this writer read Kahlil Gibran’s book “The Prophet” but I saw no particular significance to the book because at the time my belief in God was nearly non-existent. It was a bit quasi philosophical, but no more than that in my way of thinking.

A cursory examination of Islam in college and seminary could not prepare me for what Islam revealed about itself in the coming years ahead.

Like most Americans it was not until after the events of 9/11 that I began to dig into the basics of Islam and the Qu’ran. After seeing the call for death and pain to all those who were not Muslim in that book,

Dems are only concerned about threats to democracy when Republicans win elections.

By Thomas Gallatin · at the Patriot Post/ https://patriotpost.us/articles/59445

So who exactly is endangering democracy? Certainly not Republicans, notwithstanding the assertions of Democrats and the Leftmedia. On Monday evening, retired fighter pilot and Republican Rep. Martha McSally conceded defeat to anti-American Democrat Kyrsten Sinema in the Arizona Senate race. The result is a head-scratcher. How did Republican gubernatorial candidate Doug Ducey soundly defeat Democrat David Garcia by 330,000 votes and 15 percentage points while McSally, just beneath him on the ballot, lost by 40,000 votes? Did early voters miss the late-breaking news on Sinema’s disparaging remarks against Arizonians? Did President Donald Trump’s rumblings about birthright citizenship turn off moderate
