Pennsylvania court sides with man in 4-year fight for license to carry

A Commonwealth Court sided with a man who fought for four years to prove he was eligible for a gun license. The Pennsylvania State Police had denied Richard Brandon’s request because they believe “he has a violent past and was twice involuntarily committed for mental health treatment,” according to a report. But there was a problem: no one could prove that Brandon had ever actually been involuntarily committed.

In 2013, Brandon applied to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office for a license to carry, but was turned down after the Pennsylvania

NRA’s Colion Noir Has One Heck of a Message for Black Lives Matter

LVC Editors Note; please be sure to view Colion’s video at the end of this article.

By Erika Haas at Townhall |

Dana Loesch had liberals curling up in the fetal position when she urged her fellow conservatives to “fight this violence of lies [referring to media bias and the Left’s prime choice of protest] with the clenched fist of truth” in an ad for the NRA. *Gasp.*

Ironically, Loesch, who was condemning violence and hateful, divisive rhetoric, was accused of inciting violence and declaring civil war.

On Wednesday, members of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Black Lives Matter Movement – and their allies, including Dignity and Power Now, The Reverence Project, RISIST, and Defend Movement – decided

Six Facts On Gun Control That Prove Liberals Are Totally Wrong

By Matt | Contributor/Political Insider

If you want to learn something about guns, don’t turn to a politician or media commentator. It’s hard not to notice that opponents of gun control naturally have an upper hand in the debate because they’re the only side that actually interacts with guns, and thus actually understand them. It’s never pro-2nd Amendment rights supporters claiming that there’s such a thing as “AR-15 shotguns” (a CNN gaffe), use the phrase “30 magazine clips” (as an anti-gun California Senator did), or think that suppressors actually silence the sound of a gunshot like in the movies (as per Sen. Kristin Gillibrand).

Public perception on guns has already been warped by the

Orwell’s doublespeak: the language of the left

By Linda Goudsmit at Renew America

George Orwell introduced the language of doublespeak in his dystopian novel “1984” published in 1949. Doublespeak is the language of opposites. Up is down and down is up.

The word doublespeak derives from two Orwellian words “doublethink” and “newspeak.” Doublethink is when a person accepts two mutually contradictory thoughts as correct without being aware or troubled by the glaring contradiction between them. Doublethink statements like “war is peace” “freedom is slavery” “ignorance is strength” are made without discomfort. Newspeak is a method of controlling thought through language – it is the language of fake news. Doublespeak combines doublethink and newspeak in language that deliberately obscures, distorts, disguises, or reverses the meaning of words to manipulate public opinion

IRS ‘wipes out’ elderly couple’s dress shop, sells everything — and the details are infuriating

After more than 30 years in business, Mii’s Bridal and Tuxedo in Garland, Texas, was shut down by the IRS, which then ‘wiped out’ the owners’ inventory in less than two hours, selling their items for a fraction of their value. (2014 file photo/Jim Watson/AFP/Getty Images)

When Tony, 68, and Somnuek Thangsongcharoen, 72, moved to Texas from Thailand, they never imagined the small mom-and-pop wedding dress store they started in 1983 would end like this.

After more than 30 years in business, Mii’s Bridal and Tuxedo, located in Garland, Texas, was shut down by the IRS, which alleged the Thangsongcharoens owed unpaid taxes totaling $31,400 for the 2005, 2008 and 2010 tax years, according to a report

It’s Time to Clean Up Our Elections

By Ken Blackwell at Townhall |

Despite the massive media attention given to the claim that Russia attempted to influence last year’s election, the greatest threat to American democracy is vote fraud at home.

Counties across the country have more people registered to vote than they have residents eligible to do so. Some jurisdictions have on their rolls voters who’ve reached their 200th birthday and beyond. Thousands of non-citizens have been found to be registered to vote and across the nation that number may well reach into the millions.

No wonder President Donald Trump established the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, on which

Do some rights matter more than others?

By Natalia Castro at NetRight Daily and Americans for Limited Government

October will bring the Supreme Court to center stage as the Justices take on some of the most controversial cases of our time. The Court’s announcement that they will take up Masterpiece Cake Shop v. Colorado Civil Right Commission indicates that religious liberties will be one of these contentious decisions; while decades of precedent seemed clear, recent decisions have made this issue murky, and now the Supreme Court will provide clarity. The facts of the case are quite simple; Jack Phillips, a Colorado cake artist, declined to design and create a custom cake honoring a same sex marriage because doing so conflicted with his religious beliefs. For this reason,
