North Carolina under the siege of tyranny

Share

By Rev. Mark H. Creech at Renew America

Charles de Montesquieu, the French lawyer, writer, and political philosopher, whose works had a profound influence on America’s founders, once said, “There is no crueler tyranny than that which is perpetuated under the shield of law and in the name of justice.”

My beloved state, North Carolina, is under siege from tyrants who operate “under the shield of law and in the name of justice.” The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals has the state and its future firmly under its iron rule, and yet, there’s been little outrage by the state’s citizenry.

Daniel Horowitz, in Fourth Circuit Takes Control of North Carolina, summarizes the way this unelected body has destroyed the state’s

The Democrats and their leftist cadres have hot summer plans for 2018!

By Mark Alexander · At The Patriot Post/https://patriotpost.us/alexander/52780

“The name of American, which belongs to you, in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of Patriotism, more than any appellation derived from local discriminations.” —George Washington (1796)

Obama may be gone, but his Democrat Party and deep-state race hustlers are working overtime.

Taking account of the Democrats’ most successful efforts this year to rally young constituents by fomenting division, one event above all others proved highly successful. It will most assuredly be replicated in some form next summer, ahead of November’s 2018 midterm elections.

I’m referring to

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the infamous same-sex wedding cake case.

By Louis DeBroux · at The Patriot Post/ https://patriotpost.us/articles/52757

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, a case with serious implications for religious liberty in the United States.

At issue is balancing the Constitution’s guarantees of freedom of religion, speech and association with public accommodation laws that prohibit denial of service based on “disability, race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, or ancestry.”

The facts of the case are straightforward, though often misrepresented. Jack Phillips is the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop in Colorado. A few years ago, Charlie Craig and David Mullins, two homosexual men, were

“Everybody knew” has been the go-to term attached to the despicable behavior of elite low-lifes.

By Arnold Ahlert · at The Patriot Post/https://patriotpost.us/articles/52714

“Don’t get in the elevator with him. … Every female in the press corps knew that, right? Don’t get in the elevator with him. Now people are saying it out loud. And I think that does make a difference.” —Cokie Roberts referring to Democrat Rep. John Conyers

In the last few weeks, “everybody knew” has been the go-to term attached to the despicable behavior of low-lifes in Congress and the media. Behavior that people in positions of authority knew about and tolerated, as long as it accrued to their interests to do so. And those interests, as in a sickening

Smucker Votes to Allow Concealed Carry Reciprocity and Update FBI Background Check System

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-16) today voted to protect law-abiding gun owners’ right to carry a concealed firearm and improve the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).

The bipartisan Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (H.R. 38) allows handgun owners who are legally permitted and authorized to carry a concealed firearm by their home state to carry a concealed firearm in other states that allow concealed carry. Individuals carrying a concealed firearm across state lines must also carry a valid government-issued ID and concealed carry permit from their home state.

“Law-abiding gun owners deserve the

Barletta: Concealed Carry Makes Law Abiding Americans Safer

WASHINGTON – Today the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 38, National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, by a bipartisan vote of 231 to 198. The legislation would allow law-abiding Americans who are qualified to carry concealed handguns in one state to also carry in other states with concealed carry laws. The bill also includes language from the Fix NICS Act of 2017, which would ensure agencies are reporting to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).

Currently, forty-two states broadly recognize law-abiding American citizens’ right to carry concealed handguns for self-defense. All fifty states allow some form of concealed carry. Rep. Lou Barletta (PA-11), who has

Time for Rosenstein to end Mueller’s Russia witch hunt

Share

By Robert Romano at NetRight Daily and Americans for Limited Government

So far, nobody is being prosecuted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller for hacking the Democratic National Committee and John Podesta and working with Russia to put those emails on Wikileaks.

Instead, you’ve got individuals, such as George Papadopoulos and former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn pleading guilty to lying to investigators.

In other words, the special counsel cannot prove the original allegations that were made by the DNC-funded Fusion GPS dossier by former MI6 agent Christopher Steele and Crowdstrike, which was that, with the help of the Trump campaign, Russia hacked the Democrats and put the emails on Wikileaks. Crowdstrike asserted that Russia was behind

Tillerson, Haley: Global Compact on Migration could undermine U.S. sovereignty

The United States will no longer participate in the U.N.-organized Global Compact on Migration (GCM), the U.S. Mission to the U.N. informed the secretary-general on Sunday.

That decision was informed by concerns about threats to the United States’s sovereignty, with administration officials citing the need for the country to define its own immigration policy independent of the mandates of the United Nations.
