Libs Talk Gun Deaths But Won’t Dare Say How Many Lives Guns Save… the No. Is Staggering

Share

It’s the number that matters the most, so it’s the one liberals ignore.

In the aftermath of any outrageous gun crime – a high school in Florida, a concert in Las Vegas, a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas – the mainstream media parades victims’ families in front of the cameras, giving national platforms to just about anyone with a word to say about what they call “gun violence,” as long as it’s in favor of more gun control.

But what they don’t talk about is the number of people – living, breathing Americans – whose lives have been saved because they had access to the means of self-defense

Unconstitutional No-Fly, No-Buy Won’t Prevent Mass Murder

And yet again the horrible idea is being pushed by Democrats and a few Republicans.

By Louis DeBroux ·at The Patriot Post/ https://patriotpost.us/articles/54588-unconstitutional-no-fly-no-buy-wont-prevent-mass-murder

Watching the CNN town hall following the Parkland massacre — in which Republican Sen. Marco Rubio and NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch were accused of being Nazis and complicit in the 17 deaths at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School for daring defend the Constitution — reminds us of a truth written by 19th-century British journalist Walter Bagehot. He declared, “A democratic despotism is like a theocracy: it assumes its own correctness.”

During this inquisition, whenever Rubio or Loesch attempted to introduce facts or reason into the gun debate, a howling mob screamed and shouted them down. The mindless outrage, refusing

When Charles McMahan agreed to talk with The Daily Signal about his program enabling trained teachers and other staff to carry guns in school, the Oklahoma school superintendent knew he’d be falling on the politically incorrect end of a sensitive conversation.

But as the educator who oversees more than 500 prekindergarten through 12th-grade students in the rural town of Porter, Oklahoma—40 minutes outside Tulsa—McMahan says he stands by his decision to arm qualified teachers and staff.

“My main job as superintendent is the safety of those kids,” McMahan told The

Activists are turning to the courts to upend America’s Electoral College process. A lawsuit filed in four states claims the winner-take-all system most states use is unconstitutional. (Photo:Kim Hong-Ji/Reuters/Newscom)

Having failed to generate enough support to abolish the Electoral College through a constitutional amendment, the institution’s detractors are now looking to the courts to upend it.

A new lawsuit, spearheaded by Harvard University law professor Lawrence Lessig and filed in four states, charges that the “winner-take-all” element of how states divvy up

DOJ Sues California Over Immigration Obstruction

Three state laws directly and deliberately interfere with federal efforts to enforce the law.

By Nate Jackson · at The Patriot Post/https://patriotpost.us/articles/54583-doj-sues-california-over-immigration-obstruction

The Justice Department filed suit Tuesday against the state of California over the Golden State’s obstruction of federal immigration law. Specifically, the DOJ seeks an injunction against three recent California laws that are deliberately interfering with immigration enforcement. One law prevents businesses from cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials by giving workers extra “protections.” Another grants authority to state officials to inspect and monitor Department of Homeland Security-run detention facilities in California. And the third is the infamous sanctuary state law that took effect Jan. 1 — the law prohibits state or local law enforcement officials from notifying
