Gun owners’ strategy ‘kills’ new registration

Share

By BOB UNRUH at WND and Renew America

In a move described as a “stunning repudiation” of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his “anti-gun Democrat allies,” residents of the state have issued a “veto” of a new gun regulation. By simply ignoring it.

The impact of the move was described recently by the Gun Owners of America.

“We now know that less than 4.5 percent of the ‘assault weapons’ in New York were registered with the state as required by the draconian 2013 law, despite threats and warnings from hysterical New York Democrats and their allies in the media,” said a posting from Bob Owens on the GOA website.

“This is an even greater refusal rate than was experienced in

Texas Watchdog spurs investigation into UT admissions scandal

Share

By Andrew Collins From Watchdog and the Franklin Center

The story of the University of Texas admissions scandal began nearly two years ago in a dire place. Wallace Hall, a Gov. Rick Perry appointee to the University of Texas Board of Regents, was about to be impeached for ethics violations, charges driven by University of Texas-Austin President Bill Powers.

Twenty months later, Bill Powers has resigned in disgrace and Wallace Hall is a hero in Texas. But what was the catalyst for change? It took great courage on Hall’s part to take a stand for integrity, but the story’s narrative did not change in his favor until Watchdog Texas bureau chief Jon Cassidy got involved.

When Cassidy started covering the

Ex-CNN Anchor Tells Gun Control Activists To ‘Shut The F*** Up’

Share

By Chuck Ross at the Daily Caller

Ex-CNN anchor Lynne Russell has a strong message for gun control activists after her husband, former CNN reporter Chuck de Caro, saved the couple’s lives by fatally shooting an armed felon who opened fire on them in their Albuquerque, New Mexico motel room last week.

“If you don’t want to carry please don’t,” Russell told Fox 411. “Then, shut the fuck up about it. Make your own decisions.”

De Caro and Russell, who anchored for CNN and CNN Headline News between 1983 and 2001, had stopped overnight at a Motel 6 during a cross-country roadtrip. On her way back to the room after stepping out to her car, Russell was confronted by Tomorio Watson, a convicted felon

Senators demand answers on criminal-alien releases after 121 killed

By Leo Hohmann From WorldNet Daily and Renew America

President Obama is catching heat from two U.S. senators for releasing violent criminals onto the streets who then went on to murder 121 Americans between 2010 and 2014.

And there are new concerns about the possibility of violent crimes being committed by the nearly 30,000 illegal Cuban immigrants who are walking U.S. streets with criminal records.

Sens. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., and Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, sent a letter June 12 to Secretary of State John Kerry, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and Attorney General Loretta Lynch. They are demanding the administration provide written responses by July 6 to their numerous questions about the release

New York’s ever-expanding electorate

Share

By Robert Knight From the Washington Times and Renew America

“Start spreading the news I’m voting today “

If the Democratic Party and its constituent groups have their way, the Big Apple’s non-citizen immigrants will be singing that variation on the Sinatra anthem “New York, New York” at the polls next year.

That’s the plan, as outlined at a recent press conference announcing the “Engaging Immigrant New York City” campaign, which its organizers call “an initiative to mobilize immigrant New Yorkers in preparation for the 2016 Presidential elections.”

This is exactly the kind of grass-roots activism envisioned by billionaire George Soros, who has committed $5 million to expand the electorate and loosen voting requirements by getting rid of photo ID laws

Attempt to Reinvent the Wheel

Share

Letter to the Editor,

There have been various changes to and “upgrades” of the basic wheel over the centuries since its invention in 3200BC. The original and simple design of the wheel and axle however has remained unchanged over time. The purpose of the wheel has also remained unchanged given the success of its design. Any invention that is that successful in its design and fulfillment of its purpose is most valuable in terms of the effort and expenditure it has saved and provided to its users.

It should then be said of any “invention” that is designed to fulfill its purpose, it could be compared to the “wheel”. This is especially so when there are many other
