(CNSNews.com) – The tax reform bill that the House Ways and Means Committee released today slashes in half the size of a mortgage that qualifies for the mortgage-interest deduction from federal income taxes.

It also eliminates the provision in current law that allows a taxpayer to deduct the mortgage interest on a secondary residence as well as their principal residence home.

The GOP finally releases a tax plan

By Printus LeBlanc at NetRight Daily and Americans for Limited Government

Yesterday, Republicans in the House released their long-awaited tax reform and cuts package. The House GOP and the President have been talking about tax cuts for months, and even made them cornerstones of their campaigns. Business leaders want tax cuts to spur economic growth. Well, something is here. It’s early in the process, but at least we have something to start from.

The House GOP released talking points for the tax bill stating, “The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is a bold, pro-growth bill that will overhaul our nation’s tax code for the first time since President Reagan’s historic tax reform 31 years ago. With this bill, a typical middle-income

Questions Tax Exempt Status for Muslim Mosques

Share

Dear Editor, If Christian churches or Jewish Synagogues were to ever preach hate from the pulpit or via religious indoctrination I suspect that their tax exempt (501c3) status would be summarily yanked by the IRS and respective state government. But what about Imams who routinely preach and teach death to infidels and Jews and annihilation of same in Mosques? This begs the question: Should they be allowed to keep a government authorized tax exemption benefit funded by taxpayers? If there is proof of such negative hateful and divisive deliveries….either written or orally….logic would suggest American laws would prompt the cessation of the tax exempt benefit status. What does your legislator think? Richard Cheney, Maryland

I recently fired off this letter to my congressthing and my two senatorthings. Probably not a good choice of words. OK. I recently mailed off this letter to my congressthing and my two senatorthings.

Dear Thing,

One of the president’s campaign issues was reform of our tax laws. As I once told my congressman, you can reform the law or re-form the law. One may enhance the law at the favor of the government, the other at the favor of the owner of the government-the American citizen.

Unfortunately, in 1984, President Reagan went along with a Democrat proposal to save social security by taxing the benefits to recipients. By that act, President Reagan broke the

Tax Cuts for “the Rich” Are Taxing Everybody

Share

By

As soon as it was revealed, the Trump administration’s framework for tax reform was instantly attacked by Charles Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and friends, trying to bludgeon it to death with assertions that it was just “tax cuts for the rich.” A letter from Senate Democrats said “Tax reform cannot be a cover story for delivering tax cuts to the wealthiest. We will not support any tax reform plan that includes tax cuts for the top one percent.”

Such attacks, which focused primarily on proposed reductions in corporate tax burdens, were premature, in that there were too few crucial details provided for thorough analysis. But the criticisms revealed a focus on the politics of envy rather than joint

Five Trump-Era Food Stamp Facts Everyone Should Hear

Share

ROBERT F. BUKATY/AP

Food stamp usage under the Trump administration has taken a nosedive at both the state and national levels, thanks to federal and state policies giving people incentives to choose work over welfare.

But how much has food stamp enrollment declined under President Trump’s time in office and what is causing this nationwide decrease in food stamp usage?

Here are five facts about the decline in food stamp usage in the U.S. and how and why this is happening.

BREAKING: Trump Just Ended Welfare For One HUGE Group For 5 Years! – Let The Riots ERUPT!

Liberals are melting down everywhere & we love it!

By

President Trump is about to end the longstanding abuse of the American welfare system and ban migrants from getting free money and handouts for five years. The immigration rules will prohibit migrants from coming to the country and taking advantage of free American welfare money right away. It will slow down, or stop, chain migration while protecting American workers and potentially saving taxpayers money.

What used to happen is that people would migrate to America and just live on the free money they received. That’s called welfare abuse. America is open to migrants, but perhaps we don’t want migrants who can’t fend for themselves. Maybe it’s better if

Republican senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas said repealing the Obamacare individual mandate would save $300 billion over the next 10 years.

Cotton, along with Sen. Pat Toomey (R., Pa.), introduced a bill that would exempt Americans who earn less than the national median household income from paying the penalty for not having health insurance.
