In a huge win for religious liberty, the Supreme Court ruled 7-2 today in favor of the First Amendment. The justices rebuked the Colorado Civil Rights Commission for their dismissive and contemptuous ruling against Christian baker Jack Phillips.

Phillips had politely declined to bake a wedding cake for a homosexual “marriage,” on the constitutionally protected grounds that it would violate his conscience to do so. Phillips did this, it should be noted, at a time when same-sex “marriage” was not even legal in Colorado. The couple had gone to Massachusetts

Gov. Moonbeam changes President’s Day to…and more

By Rev. Austin Miles at Renew America

The one and only Governor Moonbeam of California has done it again. He now proposes changing “President’s Day” to…now get this….SOCIALIST DAY!!

This bill, AB-3042 is sponsored by Assemblyman Miguel Santiago, (no surprise here) a Sacramento Democrat.

Legistative analysis states that the bill would change California law, which now requires schools to close for two days in February – once in honor of George Washington, once for Abraham Lincoln – to combine the days for only one holiday in February.

This new free day will be made available for schools to close on May 1st in honor of…”International Workers’ Day.” So they have dropped a day to honor Washington or Lincoln to

Life with father, a dying breed

Share

By Lloyd Marcus at Renew America

In 1952, I was 5 years old when I walked into the kitchen of our 6th floor apartment in the Baltimore government projects. Dad stood as Mom sat at the table with a spoon in her hand tapping on a glass. Mom was preparing Dad to take the test to become one of Baltimore City’s first black firefighters. By tapping the glass with a spoon, Mom was teaching Dad the alarm bells he was required to recognize. Mom was a tough teacher. “No! That’s wrong! Listen and get it right!” Not only did Dad learn the alarm bells, he became a super firefighter, winning “Firefighter of the Year” two times.

Dad went to be with

Venezuela’s Road to Literal Serfdom

Hayek’s “Road to Serfdom” was intended as a warning. Unfortunately, Venezuela seems to be using it as a checklist.

By Barry Brownstein @fee.org

In his classic 1841 book on financial bubbles, Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds, Charles Mackay observed, “Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.”

Mackay covered religious and political delusions, too. “We see one nation suddenly seized, from its highest to its lowest members, with a fierce desire of military glory; another as suddenly becoming crazed upon a religious scruple,” he recounts, “and neither of them recovering its senses until it has shed

An illegal alien was sentenced to life in prison in New Bedford, Mass. on Friday after pleading guilty to the murder of his daughter. The man in question, Walter DaSilva, shot and killed Sabrina DaSilva in 2016 because he felt “disrespected.”

Walter DaSiIva admitted to shooting and killing his 19 year-old daughter because she continued to date an older man against his wishes. This apparently upset DSilva who felt further insulted when she refused to visit him on Father’s Day in 2016.

A group of teens was seen pushing people into Lake Michigan near Navy Pier Thursday night.

The reports follow reported mayhem along beaches and Downtown streets last weekend as roving groups of teenagers caused trouble, forcing Chicago Police officers to try to corral their movements.

The group of about 10 teens was seen pushing people into the lake in the 600 block of North Lake Shore Drive, according to Chicago Police.

Democrat Leader says a Good Economy, and Great Jobs Report is Meaningless!

Share

Written by Onan Coca/EagleRising.

This is what the Democrat Party has come to folks.

They take any and every bit of good news, and attempt to spin it into bad news.

Just think about it:

President Trump says the violent street gang, MS-13, is evil, even monstrous, and what do Democrats say? Democrats argue that MS-13 are simply misguided people who need love. Some Democrats even say that the evil thugs of MS-13 are better than Republicans (I’m not kidding – there is a whole online trend of leftists crowing about how they’d prefer their children date MS-13 gang members than Republicans).
