Bernstine Applauds Borough’s Changes to Ellwood City Electric

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 21, 2018

Bernstine Applauds Borough’s Changes to Ellwood City Electric

ELLWOOD CITY – Following months of negotiations and legislative intervention, Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) today praised Ellwood City Borough Council for adopting changes to Ellwood City Electric, which he said will ensure consumer protection, price stability and increased transparency for residents.

The actions came after Bernstine and Sen. Elder Vogel (R-47) issued a letter to council members last month urging immediate implementation of several consumer-based changes. Bernstine’s legislation requiring the borough to adopt changes passed the House in April and was awaiting consideration by the Senate.

The changes adopted or being considered by council include providing advance notice of rate structures, adhering to Public Utility Commission requirements

NEA setting up a new Civil War?

LVC Editor’s Note; this story came to us via internet. Since it is from an alleged NEA insider, we have no way of insuring the accuracy of the story. However, it appears compelling and lines up with what appears to be going on in the Nation. That is alarming! When reading, please keep these notes in mind.

The below write up is from a current National Education Association (NEA) employee who is disturbed at what is happening inside teachers unions and feels compelled to speak out.

NEA INSIDER:

The NEA just held their national convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 30-July 5, 2018, and adopted the following resolution:

New I. White Supremacy Culture

New Polling Shows Competitive Race for Governor

The Commonwealth Leaders Fund (CLF), a newly formed political action committee, released poll data earlier this week showing that the race for governor between Scott Wagner and Governor Tom Wolf is within three percentage points. These results differ significantly from other polling data that has been made public. This raises the question, what poll should you believe?

We took a look “under the hood” of publicly available polling data for the governor’s race. After comparing the older polls to the newly released data, we are more inclined to believe the results of the CLF polling results than the others. There are two main reasons we came to this conclusion. First is sample size,

Week of August 27, 2018 Column: Civility and Consensus

I believe civility and consensus are essential to solving problems and addressing issues. However, as American statesman and three-time presidential candidate Henry Clay once lamented: “. . . everyone wants his own way, irrespective of the interests and wishes of others.” Sadly, little has changed since Mr. Clay’s time.

Consider redistricting reform.

New Law to Better Protect Care-Dependent Individuals

A new law taking effect soon will better protect individuals who are dependent upon others for their care. Act 53 of 2018 will make it a crime to intentionally or recklessly endanger a care-dependent person – closing a gap in state law that exists between neglect and abuse. This addition to the Crimes Code includes neglect to provide care which causes a

Autism and Western Vaccines see Parallel Rise in China

Share

Reprinted with permission By F. William Engdahl 30 August, 2014 The escalating scandal around the alleged deliberate fraud by the US Government’s Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to drastically alter a major study of the possible link between MMP vaccines (Measles, Mumps, Pertussis) in children vaccinated under three years age, and incidence of autism is throwing light on one of the most criminal strategies of Western pharmaceutical vaccine makers. Now it comes to light that a major epidemic spread of cases of autism in China arose directly parallel to China’s opening up to the Western drug-makers and to WTO trade rules some twenty years ago. In the mid-1980’s western drug makers introduced multiple combined vaccines and steadily lowered the recommended age at

Local Redevelopment Projects to Receive State Funding

Public-Private Partnerships and state assistance to redevelopment projects play important roles in spurring economic development projects that create jobs and re-energize communities. Recently, the Commonwealth has announced that three such important projects will see an infusion of funding to move them forward

The Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) is a critical tool to help drive community and economic development throughout our Commonwealth. As is customary for this program, the number of worthwhile projects throughout the Commonwealth greatly exceed the amount of money available to fund them. The Lehigh Valley is no different. There are any number of excellent projects that are worthy of RACP assistance.
