National welfare reform advocates to testify before Senate Majority Policy Committee

HARRISBURG – The Senate Majority Policy Committee will host a two-part briefing next month on welfare reform efforts, both past and present, according to Senator David G. Argall (R-Schuylkill/Berks).

Argall, who chairs the committee, said it’s an opportunity to learn from experts on state and federal policies that lead to both positive outcomes for government assistance recipients and savings to taxpayers.

“Every single day, we hear complaints about our human services and welfare programs,” Argall said. “Taxpayers are very upset when they learn of waste and abuse in these important programs which are designed to help people in need, not to promote fraud. These briefings will provide

We owe much to them. The service was held at the Mount Royal Cemetery where many veterans have been honorably laid to rest. It was hosted by

AARP Now Knows Vote Smart!

Share

Hello :

We suggested contacting AARP to tell them of their mistake in not directing their members to the most balanced, extensive and accurate source available, and we have heard from dozens of you who did contact AARP.

Apparently they heard you! The director of AARP’s elections program (“Be the Difference. Vote”) called me a few days ago and then followed up with the following text message:

“Thanks, Adelaide. It was good connecting with you as well. I’ve spoken to our team
