NEA setting up a new Civil War?

Share

LVC Editor’s Note; this story came to us via internet. Since it is from an alleged NEA insider, we have no way of insuring the accuracy of the story. However, it appears compelling and lines up with what appears to be going on in the Nation. That is alarming! When reading, please keep these notes in mind.

The below write up is from a current National Education Association (NEA) employee who is disturbed at what is happening inside teachers unions and feels compelled to speak out.

NEA INSIDER:

The NEA just held their national convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 30-July 5, 2018, and adopted the following resolution:

New I. White Supremacy Culture

14 The National Education Association believes that, in

Speaking Out on the ‘Day of Silence”

Share

Johnny may not be able to read, write or do math, but he sure knows a lot about left-wing activism.

By Michael Swartz · at The Patriot Post/https://patriotpost.us/articles/55621-speaking-out-on-the-day-of-silence

In a school year strewn with protests and walkouts such as those inspired in reaction to the Parkland massacre, the annual school-based, Rainbow Mafia-driven protest known as the “Day of Silence” may not pack the punch it has in previous years — particularly when the very nature of the protest is that of not speaking out verbally.

But for those of us who graduated in an age free of endless interruptions for every left-wing cause imaginable, an explanation is in order. According to GLSEN, the permanent acronym that used to stand for Gay and

Letter Writer issues concerns about school walk out Policy.

The East Penn School Board voted down a proposal to ‘limit student activism’ on April 23rd. This policy was proposed by Board Director Carol Allen. Ms. Allen shares concerns by parents and taxpayers and that’s that ‘district employees shall not engage in political activities during assigned work hours on property under jurisdiction of the board.’ (PSBA policy 321)

EP School Director, Carol Allen

What was lost on those against such a policy, is the purpose of the proposed policy is NOT to require students to ask permission or an attempt to stifle the student’s freedom of speech. The purpose is to ensure the procedures governing such actions are ‘viewpoint neutral’ and enforced in a consistent manner allowing for all voices

School Directors go to Harrisburg

School Board Directors go to Harrisburg

It’s not what you think. We are conservative school board members who banded together over similar new construction horror stories. The purpose of the trip was a meeting with Representative Hickernell, Chairman of the House Education Committee and Representative Garth Evertt. The four of us came from across the state. Myself from Upper Perkiomen SD, Ron Snell, from Montoursville Area SD, Joy Beers, from Lehighton SD, and Tom Harley, from Indiana SD.

None of us were able to change the outcome of new construction in our districts although Upper Perkiomen did vote to terminate the project after it was started, but the administration did not send the termination letters to the contractors. Instead they

End ‘Groundhog Day’ tax nightmare in PA

End ‘Groundhog Day’ tax nightmare in PA

Groundhog Day is a popular tradition celebrated in Pennsylvania. It’s also personified by a movie in which a man finds himself trapped in a time warp, doomed to relive the same day over and over again until he gets it right.

Ironically, it’s that way every year for homeowners in Pennsylvania, who are doomed with ever-increasing property taxes as school districts estimate higher budgets. Legislators have allowed this regressive system to continue far too long.

But last year was different. In November, Pennsylvania voters sent a clear mandate to eliminate property taxes by passing a referendum allowing for a 100 percent homestead exclusion on the property tax. Now a financial solution to replace the school

Do your elected officials at the state and local level even care about you?

By Printus LeBlanc at NetRight Daily and Americans for Limited Government

Judging by a few recent announcements, it appears elected officials don’t care about American citizens. The California Attorney General just announced any employer obeying federal immigration laws would face state charges. Many in Congress are trying to shut the federal government down if amnesty is not given to illegal immigrants. Have they ever threatened to shut down the government over education, homelessness, military pay, or veterans care? I don’t think so.

Newly elected New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy was sworn in on Tuesday, January 16, and he made his priorities known immediately. Unfortunately, his priorities have nothing to do with New Jersey citizens, but more to do with illegal immigrants. The

School Director tells the PSBA how it should be!

Share

Dear Editor,

This is a response to the Pennsylvania School Board Association (PSBA).

Give us your advice for new school directors The January/February issue of PSBA Bulletin magazine will focus on helping new school directors adjust to their roles. As part of the feature, we’re looking for more experienced board members to give their advice on how to succeed in the position and make a smooth transition. Please send your responses (75 words or less) to Jackie.Inouye@psba.org by Dec. 15.

This is what I sent:

Remember, the superintendent works for you, not the other way around.

If you don’t have enough information, vote NO.

Make sure you are getting the information you need in a timely fashion in
