by Giulio Meotti at Gatestone Institute

Rome.” — Cardinal Raymond Burke, interview, Il Giornale. “[T]hey are not refugees, this is an

10th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Neil Gorsuch Tapped to Replace Scalia

WASHINGTON – Congressman Lou Barletta (PA-11) today issued the following statement regarding President Donald J. Trump’s nomination of Judge Neil M. Gorsuch, of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10thCircuit, for the vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court:

“The death of Justice Antonin Scalia left more than just a vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court – it left a tremendous void. Ryan’s Report

Share

Welcome to Ryan’s Report, my weekly e-newsletter, and thank you for reading! While it was a short legislative week in order to accommodate the first of the House Member Retreats (the Democrat’s Issues Conference will be held in mid-February), the House was certainly busy passing many pieces of legislation on a number of important issues — ensuring access to help in emergencies, providing a framework for safety in energy innovation, and promoting access to technology and education in developing countries — just to name a few. In fact, the Energy & Commerce Committee, the committee I now serve on in Congress, advanced 11 pieces of bipartisan legislation to the U.S. Senate!
